When trash cans make you happy

Disposition?

Well… disposing litter the proper way will result in happier people. Who wants a clogged toilet anyway? Have you ever seen anyone smiling over a clogged toilet? May point, may point!

ok i have an issue about this throwing the tissue/toilet paper in the trash can –
i find it a bit digusting when you wipe yourself up, then place it in the trash – it’s a bit hygienic me thinks :)
why couldn’t they make or use toilet bowls that can handle having a good plumbing system?

but i’ve got a funny story to tell about this.

my sister who was 16 years old, went back to manila with my mom – first time visit for her since we came in Australia. shock of her life when the signage on the door was actually in tagalog.

she couldn’t read or understand it, but she can understand tagalog if someone talks to her.

anyway, so she did her business and as what most normal toilets do, it can take in toilet paper and flush away nicely – she had the biggest shock when the water started overflowing.

then the cleaner said “ma’am, hindi po pwedeng mag flush ng tissue paper, bakit di nyo po tinapon sa trash can?”
so she explained in a panicked voice all in english to the cleaner that how are people supposed to know what’s going on, if it it’s written in tagalog? “i’m not from here.. and i don’t understand it!”

cleaner, bowed and looked the other way and kept on cleaning the floor.

so anyway, i just find it weird how some toilet/cubicles in manila can’t hack having a toilet paper to be flushed down there.

but it was funny when i heard what happend to my sis. heheheh :)

read barbara’s comment, and it made me think, “oo nga naman, bakit ba sa pinas eh di maganda flush system ng toilets natin?” pero since ganun na nga ang situation, i find it yucky when people just throw their used napkins in the toilet bowl. ew! meron naman trash can, bakit hindi pa nagawang dun itapon?!

hahaha, proper disposition. di ba dapat proper disputation? disqualification? discombobulation? but then again you’re probably right, the sign may be deeper than we thought.

i’m more into cbs’s groove. don’t you just love how establishments come up with “creative” ways to remind people to flush, properly throw away stuff, etc. you should challenge bloggers to send in some of these “creative” toilet signs! that would be fun, mare. (rolls in laughter)
