  • The Joy of Writing. I’ve been attending a writing class the past couple of weeks. It’s been really great. My love for writing poetry has been strengthened and I’m always looking forward to the techniques our teacher shares with us. I’m so happy I took these classes up. Not only are they a welcome break from work but the classes are being taught by one of the advertising greats, Barbara Gonzalez. Yey for us!
  • Exercise blues.I’ve been so lacking in motivation to exercise lately. Grumble. Please please please share with me your motivations for working out. I know it’s good for my health and my heart but gaaaaah, I always find excuses not to go to the gym. Bad me.
  • Met a blogger!
Vea and Me Vea and I worked together very briefly this month. She’s one of the sweetest people I’ve met online. She calls me “Ate Toni” and I call her Little Sis. Sadly she is on blog hiatus so I don’t get to read her entries anymore.
Oh Mario, wish you were here. Know how sweet she is? She and her groupmates surprised me with one of the most thoughtful presents ever! I think I’ll be listening to Track #2 more often than the others. 😉
  • Lunchtime! Yehey! It’s 12:02 PM na. Time to head over to the Food Court to pick out some food. What do YOU have for lunch when at work? I’m interested! I want ideas! Let me know!

Poetry. Lucky you for having the talent to compose some poetry. I tried but failed. 😉 I will just content myself with my numbers. Anyway, the layout is really ‘reader-friendly’.

Oh yeah, what do I have for lunch when at work – ‘field greens’, it’s one healthy option. I can eat a platter not worrying about fatty oil and msg.

Paul: I prefer words to numbers. LOL! And yes, this WP is much more reader-friendly. I’m enjoying WP very much! And as for field greens, sigh. I tried going on a lunch kick with salads but it didn’t last too long. Thanks for reminding me though. Looks like I’ll be having that tomorrow.

ingit ako. i always wanted to go back to UP to get a creative writing degree. maybe when i win the lotto and become a woman of leisure. besides, uber-writer types intimidate me … they make me feel unworthy …

hi toni! i try to walk around our neighborhood with my hubby lately. a lot of times, we’re lazy. we’re not good in going to the gym even if we’re members of a local healthclub. but i think it’s still good if both of you try to encourage each other to be active.

as for my fave lunch, it’s the breaded goat cheese salad at my job’s deli!

Your writing class is a great exercise for the mind. To get back motivation, watch shows with plenty of hot women, then look at my body, j/k! Hehe. I usually try to tape a pic of me in thinner days on the fridge and leave notes everywhere reminding me to work out.

On lunch: sandwich, PF Chang’s (asian and kinda pricey), subway sandwiches (cheap and healthier), pack leftovers from the night before, and lastly TV dinners (we have a microwave at work) more often than not.

My mom’s a big fan of Barbara Gonzalez and early on in my life pointed out how Barbara and her daughters were great examples of strong women I should admire. Barbara’s a great writer (have read most of her articles) and I’m not surprised you’re enjoying her classes.

At some point in my College years I had a huge crush on Panjee Gonzalez (Barbara’s daughter) and even got to know her a bit. Panjee was independent, intelligent, very friendly and also a wonderful writer. We still keep in touch from time to time.

Eventually married a strong, intelligent, beautiful woman who would get along very well with the Gonzalez ladies, I think.

dexie : I wish I could use that excuse! LOL!

annabanana : Oh basta let’s just continue sharing tips on how to be more motivated!

paz : That’s true, it’s better when you have a work out buddy!

Mikey: Maybe ningas is contagious! Hehe.

Junnie : Korek! Poetry = priceless!

tintin: The pic tip sounds nice. Now if only I can find a thin pic of myself. LOL!

Biboy : Barbara is an amazing woman. She’s definitely made it to my list of “Women I Admire.” :p

I usually bring my own lunch to save money and also.. nakakatamad kasing mag drive to get food. So usually mga Pinoy food or recipes from Cooking Light ang niluluto ko. However, I do go out pag hindi ako nakapagluto.

Oh Toni! You’ll be writing MORE GOODER THAN ME!!! :) All kidding aside, I think that you’ll be wonderful in that class.

I have to tell you, I was born and raised here but my 16 year old still corrects my grammar! Imagine that!!!!

Is this Barbara the same as Tweetums Gonzalez? If so, I like her writing style.

I love eating at food courts, as long as they’re not too crowded. Then again, I’m easy. I like cafeteria food. Airport food. Airplane food. Food which people usually complain about.

When I was still in radio though, I couldn’t really escape for a long lunch at a cafeteria or food court, so we usually had our messengers buy cooked food from the manangs downstairs, which usually came in plastic bags. We probably took our lives in our hands, and I’m lucky I didn’t end up with Hepatitis, but those meals were yummy!

masaya nga ang writing classes. like ko sila, except kapag kailangan nang mang-okray. okay lang naman na okrayin gawa ko pero minsan, hindi ko kayang mang-okray ng gawa ng iba.:)

tungkol sa lunch ko at work, we have this canteen kasi sa basement ng aming building kaya we usually eat there. mas mura kasi pati. or we go to tapa king, where i always order their tapa prince.:)

Lissa : Ako naman tamad to cook for baon!!! I should take a tip from you!

Jean : Thanks for the pep talk!

Renee: Yes, Barbara = Tweetums! And woohoo! An airplane food lover! We are a rare breed, my friend. I like airline food too. Chicken or beef? Rice or noodles? Hehehe. I wonder when they are ever going to offer Sinigang or Tinola? 😉

BabyPink : Ah sa writing class namin walang okrayan. Hindi naman siya venue to criticize. 😉 I know what kind of class you’re talking about but this isn’t one of them. Whew!
