Yey! A present!
An early Christmas present for my cousin

Seeing a kid’s expression while she’s opening a present is priceless. When I hit the holiday doldrums, I just think of my cousin’s giggles and I’m back to my cheery mood.

I used to wait till Christmas Eve to open my gifts, but for this year I’ve been opening my presents as soon as I got home. Eep! It looks like I won’t pass the marshmallow test.

How about you? Do you wait till Christmas Eve to open your presents? Or do you rip the wrapper up as soon as you get your gift?

I usually wait until the day AFTER Christmas to open for the simple fact that I hate making a mess and opening in front of others. Also, if I know it’s edible goodies that gets opened first!

I try to encourage my kids to wait till Christmas day (usually after lunch) before they open their gifts… parang tradition na namin. Although if we had dinner with friends and say they received 2-4 gifts each, I will allow them to choose 1 gift to open.

yeah…I usually wait till the eve before I open my gift. 😀

But ofcourse there is always an exemption to this. last year, I sneaked under the tree ( guess it was the 21st) and open Dj gift for me. I opened it carefully, I dont want to tear any part of the wrapper, I dont want hubby to suspect 😀 then I wrapped it all again neatly, teehee… 😀

p.s I’ll email the recipe to you later 😀

i wait for the right time! 😀 i can always delay my gratification talaga…kasi ako naman, i want to be gratified fully 😀

anyway, this is a wonderful picture sis… keep it… and give her a copy someday….like 15 years from now… when things like delight could easily be lost already…

remind her… to treat what could be as gifts waiting for her to open
