Of Male Egos and Responsibilities

by

Will a more accomplished man make a better father and husband? Or will a good father and husband make a better man?

Discuss.

No no, H and I aren’t having a fight. This is just a topic my friends and I have been discussing.

What do you think?

Anyone can be a father but it takes a man to be a dad.

Anon… is right… a good father andhusband makes a better man. I know this easy said than done, but with women, somehow, being a good wife AND mother seemed easier to accomplish… bakit kaya? Secretly, I always think women are far superior than men… (he-he)

no correct formula. As regards the first one, it still depends on the person. On the second, it depends on who’s point of view. I’m sure he’s not a better man to his drinking buddies. hahaha

I am neither a husband nor a father. But I think from all the experiences I’m been through, I’d make a better husband and father now then if I was married young and never experiences the things that I’ve been through. As I think I’m a better person now than before.

hi toni! bloghopping, makiki-bake na rin ng pie 😀 i think, hindi naman comparable yung dalawang phrases eh, yung end kasi ng isa is the means of the other. pilosopo ba? hehe. personally, i think i married an accomplished man (career-wise), which affords him the time, the energy, the experience, and the humility to be a good father. by that alone, i think he’s already a better man. :)

At the end of the movie “Saving Private Ryan,” James Ryan says “Tell me I’ve led a good life. Tell me I’m a good man.”

To whom did he turn? Who accompanied him to the grave he visited?

Those to whom I will direct Ryan’s questions are those who will be able to answer the questions you raised, Ms. Platon. At least for my case.

you first become a male man as per Godly creation inspired by God’s wisdom and instruction, plus plenty responsibilities from him to become an accomplished sower of seed and hence a proper father. please note that anyone an be a father but it does not qualify you to be a well groomed father unless you enlist God’s wisdom.
