And just like that, March is over. The first quarter of my year was nothing short of eventful. I’d like to share with you the important things I’ve learned in the past 90 days:
“…if you analyze anything too much, nothing seems too good. Live.”
The postcard says it all. Thank you to PostSecret for sharing this. And thank you to the sender of this postcard.
The more people you meet in your lifetime, the more you can tell you who the truest of your friends are.
If life is an amusement park, then I was on the roller coaster countless times the past three months. It was plenty scary, but the love, support and sincerity of my truest friends and family made the ride kick-ass fun. Thank you friends. Thank you family. The screams of fright turned to screams of joy because of you.
Don’t be afraid to ask for help; you can’t always do things alone.
I’ve learned that learning to get help from others is not a form of weakness. Even the strongest of giants needs help now and then. I’ve been illuminated by a lot of helping hands, and am very much grateful for their compassion. There are plenty of good people who have a lot to give, and more importantly, enjoy giving. Guardian angels, that’s what they are.
Don’t let those bridges fall.
You’ll need those bridges to go back home, to reunite with loved ones, to connect with lost ones. Always, always value the relationships you have. If others put a “No Entry” sign on their bridge, it’s better to let it be than to burn it. Maybe they need time to do some repairs on their side. Take care of your side of the bridge, always.

March 31, 2008 at 1:18 pm (16 years ago)This is a wonderful post Toni. Life can be so rewarding and enriching in so many ways. It can always be quite challenging and stressful at times but I’m grateful for my family and friends who always help keep me on the right path. They lift me up when I feel down, they encourage me when I lack hope and motivation and they believe in me during times when even I doubt myself. Sorry kung medyo naging too serious.

March 31, 2008 at 4:35 pm (16 years ago)great lessons learned toni, thanks for sharing!
the first quarter of this year has been very challenging on my part too; i have to deal with my decision to quit my job, i was frustrated over the bureucratic processes in some of our government agencies, i had to bear being away from my husband again and wait helplessly for the immigration decision. it was tough for me, it still is, but the last few months also brought me new friends, albeit virtual, like you, and somehow, the daily exchanges of thoughts made my little world a bit happier and bigger.
cheers to new friends met online!

My 90 days have been pretty eventful filled with extreme highs and down lows. But with God’s help, my every supportive family and my beloved hubby to be it was worth every single second of it.

Mine was a good one, too. A lot of discovery involved, new friendships made, creating and sharing, getting a year older and happy with it. It’s been a fun and love filled 90 days.

April 8, 2008 at 3:45 pm (16 years ago)Love this kind of looking back on a particular time span and evaluating it, I do it in my diary every now and then. I’m hoping there will be more action in my 2/4 than on the first quarter of this year.
