Love thy neighbor

Last week, Manila braced itself for a super typhoon named Reming. Billboards were taken down again, windows slammed shut, classes suspended. It was a blessing that Reming decided to spare Manila its anger. However, our brothers and sisters in other parts of the country weren’t as lucky. The typhoon ravaged homes and crops in the South.

My good friend Via shared the note below with me. I hope that it inspires in you in whatever way you can to help.

We here in Metro Manila were spared the wrath of the Reming, but others further South were not.

Pinoys and other people living abroad, they can help using 1 and 2:

1. Salvation Army – I spoke with a very nice Australian man named Mr. Graham Dursten. He said they have 15, 000 families to help so any kind of aid is really very much appreciated. They’ve managed to collect around PhP3M already and there will be trucks leaving for the province tonight with food. He gave me this information for making monetary donations:
