Lost: My Wanderlust

by

Seriously, I need a vacation.

I’m not stressed out with work but I realized I haven’t gone on any kind of vacation at all for the past 2 years. What the hell is wrong with me? Was I too serious trying to organize my life that I forgot to take a breather? (Yes, a small voice within me nags.)

It doesn’t even have to be out of the country. The truth is I don’t want to go out of the country for budget purposes. But I’m thinking I might get bored right away. Then there’s the fact that I don’t like long drives because I get car sick so plane rides are much better. Where shall I go? I was thinking of a week in Boracay or Cebu.

I do know that I want to leave in August — after my writing classes are over, after my birthday, after my Mom’s birthday, after my sister’s birthday. Let me target the last few weeks of August then.

I used to take vacations at least once every half year. Now I don’t even know how to take a vacation.

I miss my wanderlust. I wonder where I left it.

Hi Toni! Why not try Bohol also or Fort Ilocandia in Ilocos? They have direct flights to Laoag. http://www.fortilocandia.com.ph/ Noel and I would love to go back there and actually stay, instead of just doing an ocular. :) Don’t worry, we all get like the way you feel sometimes- some have it worse! 😉

Hi Toni… if you are looking for peace and quiet retreat, you can check out Alegre Beach Resort in Cebu. It is nice, tranquil and quiet… Or you can check out smaller and private resorts, like Le Petit Baguio in Bataan. Email me for more info…

    Toni, take a break!

It resets you. As in promise, even a one day leave from work makes me feel refreshed. Kahit sa Tagaytay lang pewde na. :)

Hmm. For some reason I’ve never felt the need for a vacation, despite the fact that people around me say I work all the time. Probably because I love my work and I control my own time. So I suppose I am both working all the time and am on vacation all the time.
