Let’s have tea together

Let's have tea!

Let’s relax for a while.

Here’s a cup of tea for you, and one for me. It’s oolong by the way. It has slimming properties, the experts say, if you drink it three times a day. I say brush your teeth right after so you don’t get tea stains on your teeth!

Mmmmm. *takes a sip* So relaxing.

Oh have you read this Peanuts cartoon where Lucy asks Charlie Brown, “Why do you think we were put on earth?”

Charlie Brown goes, “To make others happy.”

Lucy answers, “I don’t think I’m making anyone happy,” and then she adds, “but nobody’s making me very happy either. Somebody’s not doing his job!”

That quip makes me smile all the time. I like how selfless Chuck’s answer was. But essentially, don’t we all choose to make ourselves happy? We can only let others make us happy if we let them in. As for Lucy, we can’t solely rely on others to make us happy. Other people can only do so much to make you smile.

Happiness is a choice. Positivity is a choice. At the end of it all, it is up to you if can make yourself happy.

*stares out the window*

Would you like some more tea?

I agree that you should never rely on your hubby or anyone else to make you happy. This is one of the most important things I learned when I got married, a lesson that has saved us from a lot of heartache too. I guess if more people took charge of their own happiness, the world would be a happier place. :)

just dropping by to share your cup of tea…indeed, happiness is a choice. more so, it is a state of mind. other people can make us happy, but we also have to learn to be happy on our own.

Hi drunken lily, thank you for dropping by. Yes, happiness is indeed a state of mind. It’s all a matter of perspective.

External factors can make us smile but still, it’s us who will create our own happiness in our hearts. We should not blame others or the things around us if we are not happy. Happiness will show outside if we are happy inside. :)

    Exactamundo!

Oh I’d love a cuppa! But I’m an English Breakfast girl, all the way! Actually, atm it is supposedly an organic black tea brand that I’ve found and love! Can’t start my day without a cup! 😉

Oh I love English Breakfast too! Especially with some cream. Mmmmm.

Hi Toni. Not into tea sipping but If I’ll have a cup with you why not.

and yes being happy is a choice. Though there are troublesome times in our lives, positivity will surely find it’s way to ease up all those hardship.

I can have my tea, you can have your coffee. :) Then we can talk about the things that make us happy!

    Yes, more tea, please! :)
Happiness is indeed a choice. I say this to myself whenever I feel crappy like the world is conspiring to pull me down. It works all the time!

Saying “I choose to be happy” is indeed a good mantra to have!

Loved doing tea time with you – although I hope you don’t mind if I swapped the oolong for green with honey… 😉

Yup, happiness is indeed a choice. Let’s all drink (more cups of tea) to that!

    Thanks for sharing this.

Sure thing about the swap! No problem.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on happiness and tea time with me.
