Husby Funnies

by

Some funny exchanges with the man who keeps me young. :)

Husby, upon seeing tubs of red/orange liquid in the freezer.
Husby: “Jello!!!!!!!”
Wifey: “Er… no Husby, that’s fat-burning soup.”
Husby: (closes the freezer door quickly) “Yuck!!”

*****

We come home so tired from a work day that we just end up plopping on the bed and sleeping straight away. I wanted to change that a little bit.
W: “Before we sleep, can you tell me a story?”
H: “Okay!”
W: “You promise?”
H: “I promise.”
(after 10 minutes)
W: “Do you remember your promise?”
H: “Ha?”
W: “What was your promise?”
H: (looks blankly at me, then smiles) “To love you!”
W: (starts laughing)
H: (raises his eyebrows like he remembered something) “Ah, to tell you a story!”
W: “Thanks but the first was good too.”

*****

After every phone call we make, we always make a point to say “I love you” to each other. In our haste one time, we forgot to say it before ending the call. I called him up.
W: “You forgot something.”
H: “Wha-?”
W: “You forgot something…”
H: (silence… then sweetly says…) “Happy Anniversary!!”

Hahahaha! And no, it wasn’t our anniversary. πŸ˜€ This is just the tip of the iceberg of the many ways he makes me laugh. :)

I’m so used to saying “I love you” before my husband and I put down the phone that there are times I automatically say it to my friends.

Same level of embarrassment as calling your teacher “Mom” during recitation.

Yuckkk! no not on your sweetness but in the red things you freeze as fat burning soup πŸ˜›

But really the sweetness should never go…it may even be strengthened by humor, surprises and being forgetful too!

Hahaha! πŸ˜› It DID look like jello actually.

I’m sure you have tons of experiences like this. :) Makulit ka eh!

what’s actually really funny is that it seems a universal thing… tell a man he forgot something and immediately he’d think it’s your anniversary πŸ˜€ so maybe they really do forget… and they really do take extra measures to remember πŸ˜€

Oh, these are too cute. It is those simple little things that our husbands do that keep the marriage interesting. My husband keeps me laughing all the time. What a joy Godly husbands can be.

    Yey for us! :)
