“How was your day, son?”

by

Read about it in my blog, Dad!

I got this from an e-mail. It’d be great to know who made this cartoon so I could give credit to him/her. So witty and yes, so possible!

Kids are so hi-tech these days. I remember asking my 11-year-old cousin if she has ever seen a typewriter. She gave me a blank look. So I told her, “It’s this machine where you feed it paper, and then you type onto a set of keys and the letters come out on the paper immediately.” Her face lit up and she gave me a cute smile, “Ah! I thought a typewriter was a person! I was going to ask you if she wore a uniform or civilian clothes.”

Hahaha! Nye!

    hi toni,

you were over at appassionata, thank you for visiting :)

incidentally i was surfing and surfing yesterday and chanced upon your old entries at ‘binibini’,
particularly the ‘per chance’, which is a beautiful happy kind of sad story and the kind that i love…

and yes, i should also ask my 10-year old if she knew what a typewriter looked like, ha ha :)

That made me think … I don’t think my 18 year old twin brothers ever used one and I’m sure that my 6 year old sister has ever seen one. Hhmmm …

Oh my! With all the advancements and technology, we now have no excuse not to stay in contact. Unless we don’t like the person, haha.

I still have my grandfather’s typewriter where I learned as well practiced to type.

hah. your cousin is funny. but it’s not really surprising. i rarely see a typewriter nowadays. but we own a typewriter cause my dad has a hard time operating the computer. although he does know how to use one. 😀

nyahaha! you know, naku, i am guilty of this… whenever members of my family would call to ask me how i and my family are doing, i would sometimes tell them “basahin niyo na lang blog ko”. 😀 someday, i know i will have my comeuppance when my daughter does this to me, too! *scary*

so funny but so true! pero nakaka-guilty din. sometimes my friends email me asking me how i am, and then saying “or should i/we just read your blog?” nyah! thanks, toni – both for the good laugh and the much-needed reminder. :-)

So funny! And it is true. My step-dad sent me a Starbucks card for Christmas saying he read on my blog how much I loved it. Guess I need to start hinting more for my anniversary coming up! My husband won’t admit it, but he reads it also.

That’s a good one! My nine year old has a blog, but he isn’t allowed on the computer. He hand writes all the entries and I type them up for him. Sometimes I will be talking to family or friends and they will interrupt and tell me they already read it on my blog. Doh!

I too miss the old reliable typewriter. It makes you want to write better without the aid of a spell checker!Tsaka the sound it makes…. haayy. Heheehehe. Fortunately Patrick is not into blogging yet. god knows how long it’ll take though. But he is into playing tennis game sa playstation 2. Does that count?
