Today I’m feeling special. How are you feeling today?
When was the last time you went for a physical exam? Tomorrow I have mine. I’d say I’m not worried, but then I’d be lying. It’s the whole shebang — blood test, sugar, cholesterol, eye refraction, pap smear, etal. And I have to ask this: Ladies, when was the last time you went for a pap smear? I know it’s uncomfortable and a hassle, but you have to get tested.
I finally got my hair cut! It’s shoulder length now with some layers. I also got some brown highlights. Loving it! The only hassle thing is I can’t style it the way my hairdresser did. Isn’t that always the darn case?! Now my hair is all over the place. I have yet to master the art of styling shoulder length hair.
What are you up to this weekend?

The last time I had my physical exam was last year. This serves as a reminder that I should have mine very very soon. Thanks toni.

July 25, 2008 at 3:46 am (16 years ago)I’ve never had a papsmear. My last physical exam was months ago before I got my residence visa. I always fear the part when they needle me in to ‘suck’ my blood. =)
Oh well, I hope we can see your new hairstyle. I remember you were contemplating to have your hair colored before you started in your new office. Shoulder length hair with layers is not that easy to manage. But I know you can handle it by devoting extra 30 minutes for it. =)

July 25, 2008 at 5:48 am (16 years ago)yes, pictures please!!!!
i had a haircut in manila the day before my flight. it looked awesome. then i had to sleep and when i woke up, my hair looked like the haircut from hell. lesson, never have a haircut before your flight. hehe. i tamed it with water and lotsa hair gloss.
my last physical exam, last year also when i still had my job. it was a yearly compulsory exam. but didn’t have pap smear yet, they were only recommended for the married women in their 40s. i don’t know why, maybe the insurance company wants less expenses?
my day went fine, just missed my mom, it’s her birthday today.

July 25, 2008 at 8:33 am (16 years ago)Hiya Toni Don’t be worried about your mdeical exam. In fact, be thankful that every year we get to go through it. Prevention is better than cure, dear This advice is coming from a hypochondriac! hehe
As for the papsmear, I had it done once (early this year) for the first tme kasi I had problems with my urinary tract. So i had to have my whole lower and upper abdomen checked. It was uncomfortable but the OBGYN was so nice and calming
p.s. you dont look like the type who would have highlights on her hair! atta girl! sana i can see it i’ve never had anything done with my hair in a long time. dati, nag-pa-rebond ako, mga 2003 pa yun. after that, no mroe na. i love my hair as it is :p

July 25, 2008 at 10:06 am (16 years ago)I had my pap smear a week and a half before my wedding hehe On the contrary for me it wasn’t uncomfortable at all, I guess it helps that my OB GYN was/is such a comforting doctor. On the other hand, the ultrasound to further my insides was horrific and I still shudder when I remember it. Ugh!
Good for you for having a new hairdo. I understand how different it is to have it styled by a professional then to wake up the next day and get really frustrated on how to handle it. hehehe Story of my life really because I was born with thick wavy hair.

July 25, 2008 at 3:11 pm (16 years ago)hehe i had a pap smear done last week! it’s kind of weird because i don’t find it uncomfortable, or even painful, like some women do. the first time i had it done, i was surprised when i didn’t feel any pain. my tita has been saying over and over that it hurts but i didn’t feel any pain at all. buti na lang! ewan ko bakit ganun…
i want to get a haircut and have my hair colored, too! pero di pa rin ako maka-decide.

July 28, 2008 at 4:57 pm (16 years ago)Haven’t had a physical exam yet.. well not the whole thing anyway. Maybe next time when we go home, I’ll have one. They just don’t do that here.
I went to the camping with Mike and the parents-in-law this weekend.
