What’s your guilty pleasure when you have a lot of free time to spend online? Mine doesn’t involve funny cat videos, clothes shopping or reading up on the latest celebrity gossip. Nope. I can finally tell you my little secret: I love house-hunting.
I get super thrilled when I find super cute homes online. Sometimes I’m in the mood for a Brownstone so I scour the net for the perfect way to decorate one. Often times I’m on beach cottage mode (as you could have guessed by my blog!) so I love looking at homes colored with light blue, navy, white, sand.
So I signed up for Property24 to indulge myself some more. These are homes in the Philippines so perhaps my dreams will become even closer to reality. *kilig* Without further ado, here are my Top 5 Dream Homes from the site:
Dream Home #1: A Family Home in Quezon City
My parents live in Quezon City. When we do have our own home, I’d want to live near them. So yes, one of my dream homes is based in QC!

There’s something about this home that connects with me!
I like the whites, browns and greens of this home. I think it feels like home because it reminds me of several things: (1) My childhood school uniform (which was all brown, haha!) (2) how its modern structure still feels very ’60s like to me (which I really like) and (3) the greens on the driveway (it makes the space looks less structured).

Pretty greens along the driveway.
This is a 5-bedroom, 6-toilet-bath home in Batasan Hills. We are a family of three so I don’t think we’ll need all those toilet-baths, but hey, this just means we can have family and friends over often! Plus my husband and I can turn some of the bedrooms into our individual offices so I’m loving it. It also has a 3-car garage and a garden. Yey! (See the listing here.)
Dream Home #2: An Apartment at the Fort
I live in QC and work at BGC. Can you imagine how many hours of my day I spend in traffic? 3 hours! Okay, 2 1/2 hours. But factor in trying to get a ride to work and that totals 3 hours. So living near the place where I work would be a dream. Hence, Dream Home #2 is BGC-based.

Wouldn’t it be great to come home to this?
I got drawn to this condo because of the white walls. I love seeing listings like this — you can really imagine how you could dress it up on your own. But even as it is, it’s lovely. I’d just add a couple of beach accents here and there and it’s like having my own beach cove in the middle of the city.

I like the kitchen! I’d take out the cabinet doors though so the space flows more freely.

Cozy up in the bedroom!
Here’s the floor plan! I LOVE looking at floor plans and love listings that offer floor plans. I imagine myself walking through the home this way.

Floor Plan of this 3-bedroom Uptown Apartment in BGC
This is a 3-bedroom condominium unit at Uptown Parksuites in Bonifacio Global City. I can just walk home from work if I lived in this place. Did you read that? WALK. HOME. No traffic! (See the listing here.)
Dream Home #3: By the Beach
Wouldn’t it be awesome to have your very own home by the seaside? Ah, the dream. I found my dream beach home in Nasugbu. Hello screenshots!!!

#wokeuptothis

Can you imagine having breakfast here? I sure can. Bring on the fresh fruits! And bacon! And morning cocktails!

Fall asleep to the sound of the crashing waves.

Seriously, this home is beautiful. I can imagine my son running all around this place with his friends and cousins.

Perfect for Me-Time Moments!

Let’s get a massage here!

This place is just screaming family time.

One thing this home should not run out of: sunscreen. LOVELY.

Cocktails with the girls? Beer with the bros? Pizza with the family? Bring it on! This is the perfect backdrop for any social event!

This will be my quiet cove!!! I will label it “Toni’s Cove” and nobody will be allowed to disturb me here. Perfect for writing and meditating. And napping.

Sprawling greens by the beach? This home is making my heart soar.
Gah. I am in love. This is a one hectare private beachfront house at Canyon Cove. Here are some of my favorite lines from the listing:
“Upon entering the property, be welcomed by a tropical garden paradise set up that contains a spacious welcome pavilion, where one can view the beauty of the ocean and the island across it. The property has various cabanas that provide a perfect spot and view for each function and activity.”
Various cabanas?! When we own this home (WHEN! When?), this will be a place for family reunions!
“The pavilion has a spacious porch area where one can dine in and enjoy the smell of fresh air and the sound of the leaves whistling in the garden. Below the welcome pavilion is the game-room that extends into the garden where everyone can enjoy a great game of billiards and more.”
And more! We will play mahjong here! And The Game of Life! And hide-and-seek! But no Spin the Bottle for you and your friends, Teenage Timmy.
Moving to the heart of the property, be awed by the beauty of the open view deck and a plunge pool that unites you with the serenity of the ocean. The pool area is surrounded by well-designed and properly laid out cabanas, each one having a a view of the sea.
Serenity. Sea. Aaaaah.
The guesthouse includes its own toilet and bath, library, private dining hall with an elaborate living and entertainment area where one can look closer into the neighboring island through one of its antique telescope.
Did it say LIBRARY? I’m so sold. Then I’ll fill the library with magazines for beach reads and lots of light reading like chick lit and young adult books. Haha.
Obviously, this is my favorite Dream Home of the 5 I have here because, well, BEACH SIDE. (See listing here.)
Dream Home #4: Beach Land in Cebu
We also have family in Cebu so having our own place to stay there would be great. The dream place I chose isn’t a house and lot, but one I found under the search filter “Land and Farm.” There are so many possibilities with this space!

Wake up to this. Have a late afternoon stroll here. Watch the stars lying on the sand.

Set up a cabana for grandma here, a cabana for auntie and her family there…

Set up some blankets here and go relax.

Let’s turn this house into a home!
Wouldn’t it be awesome to live by a white sand beach with lots of coconut trees? This beach land is located in Sta. Fe, Cebu. (See the listing here.)
Dream Home #5: Take Me to Tagaytay
Tagaytay is a relatively easy drive from the city, so this would make an ideal weekend getaway! It would be so great to drive up here early Saturday morning, then just enjoy the crisp, pine-scented breeze. You’ll come back to Manila definitely recharged! I sure can imagine my family and I doing this! So here’s our Tagaytay dream home:

Bring out the sweaters and warm mugs of hot chocolate please!

What a calming view from the top.
This is a 4-bedroom home in Woodridge Place, Tagaytay Highlands. Tagaytay also looks like a very good place for retirement. I gotta be a super fit senior though so I don’t huff and puff on the slopes and inclines. But I can always rest my feet when I come home to this beautiful place! (See the listing here.)

February 16, 2023 at 3:21 pm (8 months ago)It’s great that you have a goal of owning your dream home! Here are some steps you can take to make your dream a reality:
Determine your budget: Before you start looking for your dream home, it’s important to determine how much you can afford to spend. Take a close look at your income, expenses, and debts to create a realistic budget.
Get pre-approved for a mortgage: Knowing how much you can borrow from a lender can help you narrow down your search and make more realistic offers when you find the right home.
Create a wish list: Make a list of the features and amenities that are most important to you in your dream home. This can include things like the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, a certain type of kitchen or outdoor space, or a specific location.
