Bono Gelato: Fresh and natural gelato for the win!

by

Bono Gelato must be super good as I see it at least once a week on my Feedly blog subscriptions. At least one blogger would write about his or her Bono experience for the week. When my family and I got to visit Podium last weekend, I literally jumped for joy when I saw Bono Gelato. “We have to try it!!!,” I squealed as I pulled on my husband’s shirt sleeve. Knowing not to argue with me when I’m on my food warrior path kinda thing, he said yes. Yahoo!

While waiting in line, I looked through their flyer. BONO is all about fresh and natural ingredients. They make their gelato fresh everyday. They don’t use artificial additives and make everything from scratch. Fabulous! That just made me want to try their gelato even more.

What I liked best about Bono Gelato was its offering of spectacular flavors. I couldn’t pick one! My head was swimming with all the wonderful choices right before me. I chose Taho. Yes, Taho. Taho in a gelato? You betcha.

The first time I tasted Bono Gelato’s Taho gelato, I was really amazed. It really DID taste like taho, only colder, only frozen. It was so delicious! I was extremely pleased with this cold snack. It was P130 for this single scoop.

For Timmy, we wanted to get him something we know he’d like. He likes anything chocolate, and this is what the server recommended as a kids’ favorite: Brownie Fudge.

One funny moment was when I wanted to try Timmy’s gelato. As I reached towards his gelato, he eyed my spoon warily, quietly, all the way till I put it in my mouth. He was like, “Mooooooooooom that’s mine.” He didn’t say it but he said it with his eyes. Heehee. Sorry, son, I just had to taste it. The Brownie Fudge was good. No wonder he was wondering how much I’d get. I shared some of my Taho gelato with him too, just so we’re even. 😛

We’ll definitely come back next time! There are so many flavors I still want to try. What piqued my interest were the following flavors:

  • Fragola: With California strawberries
  • Lemon Basil: Fresh lemons and organic basil
  • Matcha & Azuki: Green tea and red Azuki beans
  • Speculous: Belgian cookie butter
  • Chocolate Peperoncino: Chocolate with chili peppers
  • Movie Night: Chocolate-Dipped Potato chips with caramel

We’re definitely going back! These other flavors are a must-try. If they taste as good as the Taho Gelato I got, I’m definitely in for another yummy ride with Bono Gelato next time. I’m so looking forward to it. :)

I haven’t tried the Taho flavor. Looks good! Try Red Velvet and Speculoos too. Oh I also love their Lemon and Basil. It’s refreshing and cleans the palate :)
