Resting on the grass while the boy plays. Husband's turn to do the chasing!

Things that run through my head when I’m able to kick back a bit:
Where will my family and I be five years from now?
Did I leave the faucet running before leaving the bathroom?
Will I ever get my hair colored again?
When will I go back to corporate?
Will my son be this loving to me forever?
When will my husband and I go on a decent date?
How does a mani-pedi feel like again?
Will we have another baby?
Do other people find me attractive?
Am I losyang already?
When will I get new clothes?
When will I get new jeans? Or should I just have my current ones altered?
Will Timmy remember all the fun things we’re doing now when he’s older?
When will I begin exercising regularly?
When will I get 8 hours of straight sleep?

Obviously I’ve been lacking some serious ME time. It’s been Mommy time 98% of the time — the 1% being bath time, 1% being work. I work from home, but meet with my team in person a few times a month. I look forward to those hours because they help me breathe a little bit. Didn’t think quiet cab rides to meetings would be so precious too.

Moms, how do you ensure that you still have your me time? I think this is a challenge for Moms with young kids since they need to be supervised more. Any tips? Would welcome them!

know what… for me I am late bloomer when it come to that “ME TIME” thing. because I have this feeling guilty effect na, if I ATTEND TO MYSELF first baka kung anong isipin ng ibang tao, I am a stay at home mom. as in… if there is an “excess” money, i usually spend it on my 3 DAUGHTERS… but as i became active in the blogging world learned one or another that we as mothers DO DESERVE those ME TIME. ngayon if i don’t have enough budget for those man-pedi thing, every morning, yung breakfast that I AM ALONE, that is MY ME TIME… when I read a book even just for an hour ME TIME ko na yun, reading blogs and all. boring as it may sound, at least even just for a while, I AM NOT a mom. IT IS ME… let me share, one time i ate Starbucks, na ako lang… OKAY DIN PALA ANG FEELING. hahaha! I hope this kinda long comment will help you one way or another… :)

I can so relate now. And I haven’t had decent sleep for three months. My feet look horrendous na from lack of care. Hehe! Have nothing to suggest yet since I have no idea how to find ME time pa din. Let me know if you find something out. Hehe.

And oh, I noticed how Alon does not “fit” me anymore. His legs are sticking out my torso na… I was like, “OMG, ang laki mo na! Next thing I know it, may GF ka na! Di mo na ako love.” Sigh, this early on, I am learning how much letting go a mother has to do in her lifetime. Ack.

And to be back on topic, good luck with the ME time. :)

Hi, Toni! My “me time” involves the nail spa and the help of these wonderful people called grandparents, lol. I try to get away by myself at least once a month (or twice!), for my own good. I can go on and on about the beauty and fulfillment in motherhood, but who are we kidding, right? I talk about bliss a lot, and “me time” is bliss!
