Good night animals!

“Good night animals!,” Timmy says as we turn down the lights.

Good night animals!

In the picture above, he gently laid down his animals on his small pillow. Notice that they’re all facing one direction. Super OC little boy. Then he put his baby blanket over them, making sure it was up to each animal’s shoulders. Then he said, “Good night! Good night animals!” That’s how they stayed on our side table all the way till morning.

One of the most awesome things about raising a child is discovering what his personality is as he begins to become more independent, more vocal. Timmy loves rough play, as all little boys do, so that is why I enjoy seeing this sweet, nurturing side of him. It comes out when he’s being malambing or sweet to family, as well as when he’s playing with his toy animals.

Sometimes I can’t believe my son is already 4 years old. That means I’ve been a parent for 4 years. Time is flying by so fast!!! And the truth is I still feel like I’m learning how to become a parent. I’m still a newbie at this. I still call myself a “new parent” even if my son’s not an infant or a toddler anymore. There are so many new things to learn everytime. And so many surprises to look forward to too. Like your son saying Good Night so sweetly and gently to his beloved toy animals. :)

Awww that’s such a sweet moment! My son was the same when he was smaller. He would take his stuffed toys on car rides, cook food for them, read to them and save space for them on his pillow. Now that he’s a bit older, his interests have started shifting to “big boy” things. I miss his cute kiddie moments, but at the same time I am enjoying this new phase. He has a new set of tricks now, like what I call his manly voice, which he uses when he talks to his classmates. It’s so much fun being a mom, especially when you learn to savor the small stuff. :)

Kids are growing up so fast. Timmy is super lambing, so I’m enjoying it as much as I can!

Aliw! I’m also looking forward to see more of Alon’s personality. Right now, I’m seeing a glimpse of his humorous side and his serious one. It’s amazing how fast kids grow! And indeed, everyday is still a learning moment.

Ito ang mga araw na masarap namnamin ang pagiging ina. :)
