Would you like bananas with that?

Bananas in pancake batter

I sure do! But wait, what the heck is that!? Sorry for the weird picture, but that really is how a banana pancake looks like while cooking.

When the pancake batter is cooking, top with some roughly chopped bananas. Don’t worry about weird bumps in your pancakes. Pancakes always find a way to spread out evenly on a pan, even when you flip it banana side down.

I love bananas in my pancake because they add a natural sweetness to it. I also like how the mushy texture of bananas complement the spongy texture of the pancake’s. AND I don’t use maple syrup anymore when I have bananas in my pancakes. The banana’s sweetness is all I need.

No finished product pictures because H & I promptly devoured the banana pancakes. Trust me, they looked yummy.

How do you like your pancakes? Do you stir in fruits? How about chocolate chips? Or peanut butter? Share your version of pancake heaven!

Add nutella! Nutella and banana crepes are my favorite.

That’s right! I’ll get myself a bottle of Nutella on my next trip to the supermarket.

Oooh I used to like peanut butter and chocolate chip pancakes from Pancake House. But with the salmonella scare now, anything with peanut butter is off-limits. So chocolate chips nalang!

That looks absolutely delicious! I am going to try that when I make pancakes. YUM! I like adding chocolate chips or I do cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla in the mix so yummy. My recent pancake fun is taking a tablespoon of raspberry or strawberry jelly and melting it in the microwave to make a different kind of syrup, so yummy. This has been my lastest kick since for some reason in this pregnancy I am craving pancakes lol even for dinner! Thanks for your prayers. I have 4 to 5 weeks left in the pregnancy and getting pretty excited! It should be interesting having 3 girls in the house :) God bless!

I’m more of a topper than a stirrer. But I think I’ll give this one a try!

And try stirring in other ingredients too! Suggestions: strawberries, blueberries, corn kernels, chocolate chips/shavings, nuts, maybe even raisins!

i like my pancakes plain, with only butter and honey on top. ^-^
i’ve had a pancake before in davao stuffed with cheese, and it was also awesome. i dunno how it was done.

odettes last blog post..a blessed easter

I think the cheese was put in the way I did with my bananas. Or they may have mixed it in with the batter? It’d be fun to experiment!
