Weekend Soiree 18: A game of comment interaction

by

Photobucket

The first rule is easy. I will ask a question. The first person who comments will answer my question, and will leave a question for the next person to answer. This next person will answer that question, and leave a question for the next next person to answer. I am sure you get it! ๐Ÿ˜‰

To make things more fun, the questions have to reflect the chosen theme. For example, if the theme is HEROES, all questions should relate to heroes. Do you want to travel through time like Hiro Nakamura? Which national hero would you like to have dinner with? As much as possible, letโ€™s not repeat the questions for added fun! You are also welcome to play more than once.

The second rule is very neighborly. After you answer and write a question, visit the person who comments right BEFORE you. If that person does not have a blog, visit any of the commentersโ€™ blogs. When youโ€™re at their blog, leave a comment and some nice cheer. You might make a new friend!

Let’s get to know each other better with the 18th weekend soiree. This is also a part of Shai’s Tell Me About You Project.

The theme: GETTING TO KNOW YOU

My question for Person #1: How old were you when you had your first crush?

Q: How old were you when you had your first crush?

Oh my! The crush I can remember as my first was that guy who was in high school while I was in Grade 6. So that was when I was 11 years old? I can’t remember if I had any other crush before him.

Q: How do you unwind after a stressful week?

I eat Japanese. My favorites are lots of shake sashimis and ikuras. Or I go traveling with my soulmate. Either way, I feel relaxed and recharged.

    Q. Where is your favorite restaurant in Metro Manila and what do you usually order there?

I’ve finally realized that the one thing I’m good at is baking. The world can end outside my window kitchen and I wouldn’t know it if I’m baking, because I involve all my senses in it. Cooking is my home, and I’m glad I can come “home” every time I take out the sugarand flour (and eggs, and milk, and chocolate…) :)

My Q For U: What’s the story behind your name?

When my mom was pregnant, she saw Dyan Castillejo playing tennis in one of the sport clubs in Makati. She said that if it’s a girl, the name would be after her.

I was named after the English novelist/author “Daphne du Maurier” the one who wrote Rebecca. She was my mother’s favorite author during that time.

Is there an important event you are looking forward to this year?

@Dyanie, a crush gave me an orchid snatched from his mother’s garden. The act was really simple and unexpected. I still have the orchid pressed.

@on the Rock: Right now, it’s more of from walking and taking the stairs. I am thinking of getting a stepper exerciser so i can lose the (belly) fats i gained by having Maia without going to the gym.

@toni: i love how your keycodes are from the twilight series… hehe now i can relate, almost done with new moon, eclipse coming up. :-)

@em dy – I listen to paganinis cantabile 1st thing in the morning, no matter how late I wakeup and should be rushing for work.

yes jet, i do love the rain, walking in the rain, and even walking barefoot in the rain, especially if i’m on our farm here in mindanao. but i hated the rain when i was working in manila, i hated the flooded streets, i gag at the stench of the overflowing drainage, the difficulty of catching a ride home, and when i can’t sleep because i miss home so much when it rains. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Q: do certain scents make you nostalgic of the past? like a feeling of dejavu? or what kind of things never fail to bring a special memory to you?

I can’t remember… but probably around 8 or 9, I went through phases of liking each of the boys around my age or a little older that were sons of my parents friends. And I remember lusting (is that possible when you’re so young?!) after a boy for most of the latter primary school years, when I would have been 10-11.

My question…. What is your favourite season and why? I love winter, maybe because I’m a winter baby, but everyone else seems to love summer and spends the rest of the year complaining that the weather is crap, I’m the total opposite, anyone else out there different too?
