Washi Tape: Beginning of a love affair?

by

Washi tape love! So I got myfirst couple of washi tapes from Hey Kessy. They had super cute designs, had Paypal and so it was this online story that welcomed me into the world of washi.

This is what I got in the mail:

Now that I had these washi tape cuteness, what was I gonna do with them? My son had recently received a belated birthday gift from a classmate, so a Thank You Card was in order. Time to put our new purchases to good use!

Let’s get started.

An envelope made from a magazine page (a gift to be my dear blog pal Odette), a Thank You card with a sun drawing, and my two washi tapes. I used the Butter Dots washi tape to seal the envelope, but the Little Dandelions, my favorite, was the envelope label.

Dandelions and Nature.

The Little Dandelions design matched the nature setting of the envelope design really well. Cuteness!

Washi Tapes and beyond…

Do I see myself getting addicted to these tapes? Maybe not. I don’t see myself crafting heavily with them, but I will order a couple more designs to make my Christmas gift wrapping prettier.

One of my favorite blogs, She Said, she said, recently wrote about their washi coasters. SO CUTE. I encourage you to go check it out!

Meanwhile, I fell in love with this Little Dandelions design.

So quaint and pretty. I love it. Very serene and simple too. Is this the beginning of a love affair? Maybe with the Little Dandelions design. With washi tape crafts, I’m not so sure. But hey, let’s see. If I’ve got spare time in my hands and washi tape is within reach, who knows what I’d washify! 😉

Your dandelions washi tape is indeed pretty. Very dainty. I’m not so much into crafting but I appreciate washi tapes making things a little more cute and colourful. I have one or two washi tapes at home that I use whenever I feel like creating something. Like you, I plan to add them into wrapping gifts too.
