Twilight: A greenhouse scene, the Cullen crest

by

A greenhouse scene, a field trip, the Cullen crest — these three things were not present in the Twilight book series. They will make an appearance in the Twilight movie though! Check out MTV’s Twilight Tuesday report here:

And here’s the greenhouse scene as it was shot:

Want to discuss?

The greenhouse scene:
“Uh-yeah… I had an adrenaline rush… It’s very common. You can Google it.” Loved the accent, Edward Cullen! Loved the trip, Bella! Jessica’s so cute too!

Cullen crest:
Cullen Family Crest
Director Catherine Hardwicke and her team designed the crest. It’s got shamrocks, lions, arrows… maybe we’ll be told what it means soon. Per the interviews, the Cullens wear it different ways. Carlisle’s crest is on the ring, Emmett wears it as part of a wristband, Rosalie as a pendant. I wonder how Edward wears it? A belt buckle, perhaps? I dunno! Oooh this is going to be part of the movie merchandise, I just know it. It’d be pretty cool to own one, don’t you think. I’d love to have a pendant. But then I’d have to look for a wolf carved from wood to even it out. 😉

The greenhouse, fieldtrip scenes, and the crest may not be in the book, but that’s okay. As producer Greg Mooradian shared: “… Invariably, you’re going to lose bits and pieces that certain members of the audience are going to desperately want to see, but there’s just a reality that we’re not making ‘Twilight: The Book’ the movie.” And hey, Stephenie Meyer’s good with the screenplay too, right? 😉

Read the super awesome MTV article by Larry Carroll right here. Got the crest image here too.

I can’t wait for the movie to come out! I think the idea for the family crest is great but I know my purist daughter will be nit picking those and the greenhouse scene to pieces :)

Purists will definitely nit pick on these! I welcome them though. 😀
