Rowena’s Blueberry Cheese Tarts

by

Think Tagaytay food and the usuals come to mind: buko pie, buko tarts, espasol, tawilis, coffee. Add this to your list: Blueberry Cheese Tarts!

Blueberry Cheese Tarts

We got a box of six from Rowena’s Cafe in Tagaytay. That place served a lot of delicious snacks! Turones de casoy, marzipan, all sorts of tarts, ube halaya, bags and bags of coffee, banana chips, peanuts, buko pie, buko tarts, cassava cake, yema, meringue… the list goes on and on. The cheese tarts caught my eye though as I’ve heard a lot of good things about them.

This was definitely a good buy! The Blueberry Cheese Tarts are just the right blend of tartness, sweetness and creaminess. I feared I’d make a mess in the car as I bit into the crust, but thankfully the crust wasn’t too crumbly. A couple of bites into the tart and voila! All done. Then you’re left craving for more.

They sell this in boxes of 6. A little less than P200 per box of 6, if I remember correctly.

Rowena's Blueberry Cheese Tarts

Rowena’s Cafe can be found at #152 San Francisco Road, right before the junction. If you’re coming from Manila, it’s on the left side of the road. It’s not hard to miss — look for the big Rowena’s sign and the place with the pink and white roof. There’s a parking area to the left of the building with security guards.

I’m looking forward to trying their Strawberry Cheese Tarts and Sylvannas next! Yum!

I second the motion! 😉 Rowena’s blueberry cheese tarts are heavenly! As well as the strawberry cheese tarts. I can say they’re the best tarts I’ve ever tasted. But sad to say the sylvannas are not that good. But I hope they’ll improve it. The pies are also good by the way.
