I let my son play with apps on my smartphone. There are a lot of really entertaining apps that can help him have fun AND learn at the same time. I’m happy to share Preschool Academy is an app just like that.

Preschool Academy focuses on building cognitive skills. Kids’ knowledge are enriched while stimulating their brains to produce and organize new information. That’s all done in a fun and engaging way. Just take a look at these really cute pictures!

There are four worlds in Preschool Academy which respond to four different levels: Sweets, Monsters, Robots and Musical Instruments. Each world has different activities.

One of my favorite learning approaches of apps like this is self-correction. Kids can learn a lot through trial and error. Apps like Preschool Academy help my son learn in a natural and intuitive way by touch, repetition, and yup, self-correction. The interesting part is he doesn’t like asking for help when he’s stumped. He’ll keep trying until he figures it out himself. That makes me one proud Mommy.

At the end of each world, kids get a ‘Certificate of Excellence’. They do like being recognized for their good work!

There are voiceovers available in English, Spanish, French, Italian and German. Another fun exercise Timmy and I do is set the language to a foreign one 😀 You can always change it back to your preferred language anyway! It’s added fun and challenge.

One more thing I like about Preschool Academy: No ads and in-app purchases. Those can be such a hassle! So your child can keep on playing without having any annoying pop-ups interfere with their learning.
