Perfect Cup of Coffee: Fun Facts & Tips

by

The perfect cup of coffee isn’t about the beans, the brewing time or the place where you got it. Really. The perfect cup of coffee is a highly individual experience. What’s perfect for me, won’t be perfect for you! 😉 It also depends on what time of the day it is, plus what need I’m trying to fulfil at that particular moment. Whatever the tension or motivation, the perfect cup of coffee makes me feel everything is going to be alright.

Here’s an infographic that shares fun tips on how to prepare coffee, as well what nibblers go well with different flavors. This is making me crave for spiked coffee. Plus Jennifer Lawrence’s preference for having cinnamon in her venti? Maybe I’ll try that too!

To my fellow coffee lovers, have a read. Be amused. I’m sure you’ll learn something new!

What’s Your Perfect Cup of Coffee?

How to Make the Perfect Cup of Coffee

My perfect cup of coffee: a venti macchiato. That’s my go-to coffee drink. When I was still working from home, I’d have it with three shots of espresso. Oh yeah. That was the perfect cup for this workaholic.

What’s your perfect cup?

I also usually add cinnamon to my brewed coffee though on regular days I have my Kopiko 3-in-1 on standby.

I’m glad to see that Italians add sugar to their espresso because I received weird glances when I did that to my first (and only) espresso.

Hi Anj! Why first and only?! Let’s got Espresso #2!

I like San Mig Strong! Although I find that it doesn’t keep me up as long anymore :/ Still, it’s the strongest 3-in-1 there is from my experience so I stick with it.

Recently, I discovered Great Taste White. It’s been in my kitchen top ever since I tried it. I also use Cinnamon powder once in a while just to smell the aroma of my coffee..

Some of my family members use Great Taste White too! I find it too sweet. But I like your cinnamon powder idea — like Jennifer Lawrence’s! 😀 Cinnamon will make my coffee more Christmassy <3

Oh yeah, I know how you feel. I tried weaning myself from coffee last year and I lasted a good two weeks. Ha! So we’re in the same boat.

I’ve always been a coffee drinker and it’s hard to wean out of it. Good thing my ob allows me to take an 8 oz coffee a day even if I’m currently pregnant (I love my ob! Haha), because of my migraine. My go to coffee is either the original black packaging Kopiko or if I am looking for something sweeter, the brown one. But if I were out and need a cup, I will look for a cafe latte. :-)

Gasp! Not milk tea?! Hehehe. Oh how cool that your OB permits you to drink coffee! But wait, coffee cures your migraine?

Yup, caffeine is one “natural” way to help ease migraines.

Pregnant women can actually take 12-oz cup a day without it passing the caffeine to the baby.

We still haven’t had our coffee bonding day he he

Thanks again Toni for tagging me on FB. I love these infographics. So fun and informative. Coffee is one of my favourite subjects and it’s something that I like talking to friends about.

I have a few favourite coffees I indulge in:
A cup of Long Black–this is my basic cuppa. This is the Aussie equivalent of Cafe Americano but stronger in flavour. I like black coffee because I like savouring the true taste of coffee.

Syphoned Coffee. Not all cafes offer syphoned coffees. In the Phils, I get my syphoned coffee fix at UCC Cafe. I love this method of brewing coffee because it brings out the natural flavour of coffee which has tinges of tangy/fruity/sour taste.

French-pressed Coffee. I find this method very romantic with me doing the coffee bean grinding myself because I get to decide on how coarse or fine my coffee beans will become. The texture of the coffee grinds has an effect on how strong the coffee will be.

Vietnamese Coffee. This is probably the only coffee with (condensed) milk that I super enjoy. I go to Vietnamtown here just to have a tall glass of their coffee. The fun part is that Vietnamese coffee is drank alongside a cup of Jasmine Tea (see: http://awifescharmedlife.blogspot.com.au/2012/10/cafe-86-cabramatta-nsw.html)

Nespresso. To have a machine that can produce luxurious coffee in a flick of a finger–such a great gadget at home. Best decision of our home life!

Hope we’ll have our real coffee kltach in future! :)

Wow! You’re a coffee expert! I can’t tell the difference between syphoned and french pressed and others… you oughta give a course on this. 😉

I love Vietnamese coffee. Like you, it’s the only drink w/ condensed milk I enjoy. I didn’t know you take Vietnamese coffee alongside a cup of Jasmine Tea — first time I’ve heard of that! How strangely fascinating.

We’ll have coffee in the future together I just know it!!!
