Introducing The Impressionists

by

Timmy’s a big book reader, and this is one set of books I wish he’d learn to love soon. My Mom bought these three books when she was in New York many years ago. They were supposed to be coffee table books. Little did she know that years later a little grandson would have them on his bookshelf! (Edited: She bought these at Bookwagon, a bookstore formerly found at SM Megamall. Hahaha! My bad.)

Artist appreciation for kids

There are three books from the series that my Mom has — Van Gogh, Monet, Degas. Perfect! They are three of my favorite artists who I hope Timmy gets to know.

The Starry Night, Van Gogh

Dancers in Blue, Degas

White water lilies, Monet

Imagination

Each book shows works of the featured artist. There’s a helpful appendix to help you remember the titles of each artist’s work.

Contents

Timmy isn’t too fond of these books yet. I read them more than he does. The images are sooooo relaxing. Maybe I should introduce the images to him via a colors lesson. Van Gogh’s sunflowers are yellow. Degas’ dancers are in blue. Soon I’ll tell him more about each work of art, and we’ll rediscover the artists together. I look forward to that!

Trina: Hi there! How’ve you been? :) Timmy enjoys all kinds of books. He enjoys books that entail lots of interaction (flaps, wheels, pop-ups). He also enjoys books that feature his favorite characters, e.g. Cars, Toy Story. These encourage him to read more! I’ll put more tips together and create a new blog entry. :) Hope these two ideas help for now!

Kay: Aw, my Mom got them from Bookwagon pala. They might be at the Manila Book Fair this September!

Why not eliminate foods with annatto and see in case you discover a distinction?
Give each and every anxiety-busting strategy a opportunity to take hold inside your thoughts ahead of you abandon it.
Sometimes it could take several trial runs prior to it truly clicks and begins to work, but in case you quit undertaking it after a single or two tries you are going to in no way know if it could have worked for you personally.
