My husband is my biggest supporter

My beach boys. My husband is my biggest supporter. I know my son supports me too!

“Susuportahan kita, Wifey.”

“I support you, Wifey.” These simple words mean so much to me. My husband and I have been married for almost 11 years. We’ve helped each other through our individual journeys, and of course, our joint one. Through the years interests have come and gone, career moves were considered and made, hobbies came to life and developed. My marriage has definitely made my life so much richer.

I’ve been thinking of attending several workshops lately, all of which touch on personal growth. Attending workshops costs money, which eats a little into the family budget. They’re also usually on weekends, which takes time away from my family. The upcoming ones I’ve spotted either conflicted with current schedules or were too far to access. I was feeling a little disheartened. My husband patiently listened and then said:

“Sige Wifey, hanap ka lang ng mga workshops. Hindi lang naman ‘yan ang mga workshops na ganyan. Marami pa diyan. At alam ko naman gusto mong maging life coach. Susuportahan kita. Hanap ka lang.”

(Go ahead Wifey, just keep on searching for more workshops. The workshops you know about now aren’t the only ones. There are more. I know you want to become a life coach. I support that. Just keep looking.)

Yup, that’s one of the things I eventually want to get into — life coaching or something like it. I touched on that briefly in my Easter reflections blog post.

I’ve always known that my husband has been supportive, but hearing him acknowledge where I eventually want to go in life and have his support is even more wonderfully encouraging.

As always, he is my rock. He is also my compass, helping guide me in the direction I want to take. My husband is my biggest supporter.

How do you express your support for loved ones? Come share your stories and tips!

I can totally relate with you. My wife is my biggest supporter naman. She supports me in anything I get into, playig ball, coaching basketball, life coaching… I guess we are really blessed!

About those workshops, which ones are you looking at? Let me know if you find any good ones. I attended a workshop by Coach pia Acevedo at The One Core, but always looking for more opportunities to learn.
