When you’ve got a little boy at home, there’s always a ball somewhere around the house.
There’s a soccer ball by the basketball hoop, and a basketball in the soccer goal.
We try to round up the balls in one corner everyday, and everyday they end up all over the house. I’ve sat on a ball, found balls in the laundry basket, discovered balls behind pillows, crawled under my Mom’s piano to reach for a ball… It’s like an Easter egg hunt, only the toddler leaves bouncy spheres behind him.
The good thing is that when the baby decides he wants to play ball, all we have to do is reach under a seat or a table. Then when night time comes, the balls are rounded up again only to be scattered around the house not even halfway through morning. Ah, little boys!

August 5, 2011 at 8:25 am (13 years ago)It’s like looking at my own home! I have a little boy too (he’s 3 1/2 years old) and he loves balls and cars. Trying to teach him how to put back all of his toys when he’s done.

Cel: True. It’s cluttered but a loving kind. Just don’t trip!
KV: I’ve been trying to teach him how to return toys but haven’t been successful! Any tips?
aloi: Thanks! 😀
The Average Jane: Hahaha true! Always one accessible anytime he wants to play a game.
