TGIF! To use a term I haven’t used since college, this was Hell Week for me! If this week didn’t come to an end, I wouldn’t be surprised if strategies and paperwork started pouring out of my ears and who knows where else. It has been a truly rough week that tested my patience with co-workers (and man, Friday is far from over for me). Well, what doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger. I now have a stronger grasp on team dynamics. The lesson: The team will not get anywhere if team members do not have mutual respect for one another. I’ve always found it difficult to comprehend why some people deliver to commitments and why others just don’t. I’ve figured it all out now. This is one huge experience that will only make me stronger in my work and as a person. Ha. They better watch out for me next time as I transform myself into a tigress at work. Tingnan lang natin.
I need a break and I’m sure you do too. Here are some links to spice up your weekend.
Want to “see yourself as others see you”? Loads of fun personality quizzes here at Quizbox. Take this one for instance: If you could choose something to rain down from the sky, what would it be? (a) pink snow (b) red rose petals (c) cash (d) candies and chocolates (e) rain, you don’t want to create a disaster. My answer told me something true about my relationship with H. Find more amusement in the oodles of quizzes in this site!
What’s “What’s your sign?” in Italian? I like playing around with Babel Fish Translation. Hey, I’ve got something to tell you: Nunca pare de acreditar no poder do amor. 😉 Can you guess what I wrote? Thanks to the site, I can see how my motto translates to different languages. Doing back-translations is another story though. Sometimes it’s not consistent but it’s still fun!
Stuck with writer’s block? Writer’s Digest has all sorts of writing prompts that can jumpstart your right brain and churn out those ideas hidden in the crevices of your mind. A prompt a week is published online. I’ve tried some of the exercises and they’re great. Hope this inspires you to write better!
Enjoy the links and remember that in teamwork: Respect begets respect. Happy weekend!
