Flowers in the meantime

by

While I get my theme and blog together, that shouldn’t stop us from continuing our chats right? Right! So have a seat in this makeshift chair for awhile, and let me tell you about the weekend. With pictures to boot! We went to Ming’s Garden and Bag of Beans in Tagaytay.

Ming’s Garden is owned by former First Lady Amelita Ramos. This is a restaurant that serves a limited variety of Filipino dishes and shows off a collection of herbs, plants and flowers. The service was warm, the ambiance casually pleasing, but the food was just okay (translated: expensive yet average-tasting). So I contented myself with the fresh air and taking pictures of the pretty blossoms instead. :)

Then off my family and I went to Bag of Beans. It’s a quaint coffee shop which I love for its kickass frozen cheesecake and lovely garden.

i’ve picked my faves: buddies in bloom, and that strawberry cheesecake!!! and why oh why, those flowers in the tablecloth look so homey to me, gently calling me for an afternoon tea…and some strawberry cheesecake…i can’t shake it off my mind now. whew.

btw, ming’s garden has been featured s-e-v-e-r-a-l times already on magazines and even on travel channels, that i really really want to see it too. 😉

The garden is pretty! The food’s alright. Still worth visiting anyway. 😀

I’ve been taking garden photos lately too, it’s so beautiful right now! Your photos are beautiful, thanks for sharing Toni. The birds you found are so funny! :-) I’ve updated my link love page and added you now! :-)

The birds were quite the garden amusement. 😀 Thanks for the update!

Love the earthling, fresh from a shower, shadows and light, petals on a tablecloth and, of course, the cheesecake!!

Now, I miss my camera. Still didn’t get a new lens because my shopping priorities keep switching. lol

Wanna visit Tagaytay the next time we go to Pinas. Haven’t been there yet!

Oooh I miss your pics, Gracey!! And when you do go to Tagaytay, don’t forget to check that cheesecake out!

I love the Buddies in bloom, they look so delicate. And also the bougainvillea, it reminds me of my home town.

Ako rin eh, the bougainvillea reminds me of the home I grew up in. :) Lovely childhood memories.
