Clean as you walk

I’m totally giving these slippers some love. They’re called Slipper Genie Microfiber Cleaning Slippers. Just slip your tootsies into them and when you walk around the house, you’ll be giving your floor a good cleaning. How’s that for effortless neatness?

The soles are made of a soft dusting material that can be detached for washing. Awesome invention. How I wish it were available in the Philippines. Or maybe I can just attached a feather duster under my reliable rubber slippers. What do you think?

Hi, Toni. We have something like that here in the Philippines. I even saw one at the hardware and home section of Metro Gaisano in Ayala Center Cebu last year. I would think that Manila would have it, too, maybe in the home cleaning sections of the grocery stores? Or Ace Hardware, True Value? :-)

Oh really?! Siguro they have it in Manila then too. I’ll check them out more closely.

I actually fear it…hindi kaya nakakadulas s’ya? Cause I remember walking around in el cheapo slipper style basahans and I always have almost-slips. Alam ko we had similar thingies to wear atop our shoes in high school…they belonged to the same era when we had to clean the classrooms with bunot. Imagine my shock when I entered university where…gasp! We didn’t have to clean the classrooms.

True!!! You can slip. Unless they have anti-slip properties. From the looks of those “tentacles” though, I don’t think so. They look squishy.

Hahaha funny memories with being “Cleaners”!!! I hated being a cleaner!!! I’d get left behind by the bus because of that and coughed a stormed when I had to clean the blackboard erasers.

Would probably not work on carpet, right? which is most of our house. Could use in the kitchen, my 5 yo would have a ball slipping and sliding on the hardwood floor.
I wonder if they are sold locally…

    Online they are!

And good point! They will not work on the carpet. They would cause so much static!

Meron yatang ganyan sa Pilipinas; mukhang basahan, hehe!

I remember visiting a grade school somewhere in Metro Manila once. Each day, one student was assigned to wear the “basahan shoes” while inside the classroom. Kumbaga sa board monitor, siya ang “floor monitor.” He/She didn’t really need to do anything other than use the “basahan shoes” when walking, and that in itself was supposed to dust the floor.

Actually you can make your own like this diba? 😀 Careful nalang at dapat hindi mali ang pagtahi para di masyado madulas!

That floor monitor role is funny! I always ended up dusting the erasers. Blech. I’d rather be that floor monitor! I could just do figure eights on the cement kunyari. Haha! Workout pa!
