Choco Yema Cupcake from SLICE

by

There are a lot of cupcake shops out there, but I’m discovering that I’m slowly liking cupcakes in one place more than others. Heehee. SLICE is a restaurant that serves full meals and yummy desserts, but so far what I’ve tasted are the cupcakes and the coffee. I’ll definitely eat more there another time, but for now, let’s talk about its super awesome Choco Yema Cupcake.

Choco Yema Cupcake

This P100 cupcake is totally worth the price and the calories. SLICE’s Choco Yema cupcake is a chocolate cupcake with yema on top. Yema icing? Oh yeah. I’ve tried yema balls and yema candy, but not yema icing. Yema is made from condensed milk and egg yolks. Thank you SLICE for topping your delicious chocolate cupcake with it. It was heavenly.

Paired with a cup of coffee or tea, it’s even more delicious. I think I know what I’ll be having for dessert [again] this week.

Learn more about SLICE on their Facebook page.

Have you tried their Choco Yema cupcakes yet? Or have you tried making your own?

The choco yema cupcake is a gift from heaven! I literally close my eyes every time I take a bite. It’s that good! I love pairing it with tea or something less sweet :)

OMG. Ang sarap tingnan! Do you remember when Holy Spirit used to sell those yema candies? I used to love buying and eating them. Man, I miss that.

Haha! Yes, tapos kng walang panukli, they give the yema candies instead of 25 or 50 centavos. You can make your own yema candies, Lissa! Daming recipes online :)

I am SO looking forward to my Manila vacation in September. I’ve seen SLICE featured on TFC(via KrisTV), and their desserts look so YUM! That Chocolate YEMA cupcake looks delicious, will definitely try that when I visit the cafe. Thanks for the tip!
