My family is big on gadgets. There isn’t a day when we aren’t scrambling for chargers or anything that makes using our gadgets easier for us. My husband uses his phone and tablet for work, I use my phone for working on the road and playing games, while our 6-year-old loves watching Youtube unboxing videos.

A current bout with sore eyes is teaching me to slow down.

On the day after I was diagnosed with sore eyes, I felt very, very, very tired. I was tired of all the traveling time from my home to work, which is a 2 1/2 hour trip — and that’s only one way. I felt the tiredness in my bones. I felt the tiredness of budgeting and chasing deadlines in my muscles. I felt my resistance go down. It’s been quiet on the blog. I feel like it’s a deserted vacation home! There’s a film of dust on the patio furniture and the bedrooms have to be aired out. But I’ve got my weekend bag with me, and I’m here to liven up this little beach cottage. Let me tell you what I’ve been up to the past weeks! Imagine us catching up over a spread of lightly toasted goat cheese on slices of toasted bread (a snack I’ve been craving for several days now). Loving Osaka: A Glimpse of our Visit

Osaka. Last week, my colleagues and I had the chance to visit Osaka. I’ve never been to Japan, but the moment I got off the plane I fell in love with the country. Call it love at first sight.
