Yummy Broccoli Snack Recipe
Step 1: Gather 5 heads of broccoli.
You’ll be amazed at how quickly this will go. Timmy calls them little trees. Then again I think every little kid does!
Step 2: Cut into florets and wash.
Go for florets and make sure to get all the dirt and grit out. Drain it well.
Step 3: Dry the broccoli thoroughly.
This is a very important step of the process. It can take the broccoli up to 12 hours to COMPLETELY DRY. Why is this important? So they don’t turn out soggy when you cook them.
Step 4: Season your broccoli.
Once it’s dry, put the broccoli in a bag. Season with the following: 2 tablespoons olive oil, 1 teaspoon salt, a couple grinds or dashes of black pepper, 3 cloves garlic. Feel free to adjust the seasoning to your taste.
Recommendation: Put parmesan cheese! We tried this with another batch of broccoli snacks and it was so good!
Step 5: Cook in oven 375C for 20 minutes.
Keep a close watch to see they don’t burn. A little brown around the edges is okay though!
Voila! The finished dish. It’ll be a mix of bright and dark greens, with the stalks accented with brown. It’ll be delicious! Taste and season more if needed. We also enjoy squeezing fresh lemon over the florets before serving.

August 27, 2013 at 7:17 pm (11 years ago)Buti pa si Vito! Timmy abhors anything green so we’re still trying to look for techniques that’ll get him to eat more veggies. He finds that they look like trees amusing but that’s it!

August 28, 2013 at 7:20 pm (11 years ago)We love snacking on brocolli too! That’s Cyler favorite veggie. Try adding basil and rosemary, it gives more aroma and it makes the brocolli tastier and yummier!
