As gourmet as it gets

by

Torture is watching episodes of Top Chef Season 3 on DVD while munching on nothing but cold cereal. At least I had milk at home!

If Padma Lakshmi and Tom Colicchio could’ve seen me, they’d probably go, “Your cereal was soggy. And the milk, too cold. There was no fusion of flavors. The proportion of the cereal was too heavy for the milk. Also, it lacks freshness. Did you consider topping it with fruit?”

And I’d go, “Yeah well, that’s how I like my cereal!” Then I’d munch on my soggy star-shaped cereal with a huge satisfied smile on my face.

P.S. Don’t tell me anything about Top Chef 4! I’m just about to start on it!

my friends and i are big fans of iron chef. everytime we’re on a cooking leisure, we talk like the iron chef judges do while tasting our own “pacham (-ba)” creations. or we go the guiada de laurentiis way – everyday italian on the food network, she’s my favorite, ever. :)

I like my cereal a little soggy too. And I think it’s a handy substitute to a cooked meal. Good enough for breakfast, good enough anytime! :)

PS – sorry i missed you at the reunion too! was too swamped.

Do you get Top Chef? That one is fun too! I think Iron Chef was originally Japanese… I think!

Ha ha! Yes, no one can dictate how you like your cereals. Enjoy watching the culinary shows. Have a great weekend.

Heehee, I find Top Chef addictive too! And it makes me keep coming back to the fridge for something to munch on. I haven’t seen season 3 and 4 yet though. Season 3 because all the episodes I found were MKV (I want to watch in bed!) and Season 4 I’m waiting to finish so I can marathon.

(Now you’ve made me think though…why not just look for DVDs? *headdesk*)

Hahaha. Go Top Chef! I haven’t seen Seasons 1 and 2 yet so I’m looking for DVDs of that.
