Cleaning the bathroom is usually assigned to my ever-industrious H. To be fair though, I pitch in once in awhile. Haha! During one trip to Ace Hardware a liquid cleanser caught my attention. Apple-scented? Sounds interesting. I bought it and started cleaning the bathroom the next day. What can I say? The scent of apples helped make my bathroom cleaning a more pleasurable experience.
Though the apple-scented cleaner was friendly on the nose, I did notice that it really didn’t make my walls and floors sparkle. They were clean but not sparkling. Yeah, I’m a bit OC (obsessive-compulsive) that way. My bathroom has to glow after cleaning! I ended up using Zonrox anyway. Now THAT made the bathroom sparkle.
So that’s how my apple-scented experience went. I use it for those every day kind of cleanings, but Zonrox is still the way to go for me. I DID fall in love with the scent of apples though and now even my dishwashing detergent is apple-scented.
Can anyone share some tips on bathroom cleaning? I’m no guru and don’t really want to be a bathroom-cleaning expert, but I would like to learn how I can care for it better. All tips would be appreciated. And then I’ll pass them on to H.

August 17, 2005 at 1:17 am (19 years ago)I use metholated spirits to mop and and clean the whole bathroom. Use it diluted. Cheaper than the others in the market claiming na its effective. The smell might put you off kase its the same thing they use para sa baine marie for catering. Walang streaks sa shower stalls, none sticky sa floors. But for my toilet I use whiteking wipes, then for scrubing the inside toilet duck disposable cleaner. Once a month I do a general cleaning sa banyo using CLR multi purpose cleaner, gets rid of calcium, lime and rust. Not as offensive as muriatic acid. Dilute it in water din wear gloves, have a handy brush on hand and off you go.
