Last Saturday, my college friend Rowie and her fiance Mike got hitched. Congratulations to you two lovebirds! It seems like only yesterday we were partying ourselves silly at Rowie’s house. Rowie is the 4th in our barkada to wed. We’re at that barkada life stage where people are settling down, be it with a lovelife or finding peace within oneself. Naks. It’s weird! Ang bilis. Well, that’s all part of growing up (and old). Cheers to the newlyweds!
Here are some pics from our barkada table at the reception. From left to right, first row onwards:
Rowie walks down the aisle. She was radiant and beautiful. She looked glowing and very peaceful. Very much a bride in love!

Anj and Jan. Anj was a beautiful bridesmaid. I rarely see her get all dressed up so this was definitely a special day for her too! Jan is her boyfriend and he designed that cute cartoon of the newlyweds on the table cards (which also appeared on the invitations).
Tiffany and Ganns. I hadn’t seen Tiff since college graduation so it was great catching up! Ganns was my seatmate during the wedding and boy, was he extra perky. And he didn’t have any chocolate cake yet!
LHC Table Card. LHC means Lonely Hearts Club. What the –?! It sure isn’t applicable to our barkada. Hell, it never was applicable. We all had happy hearts in our own little ways.
Ganns and Toni. We never ran out of things to talk about — blogging, fatherhood, work, diets, Google Adsense, family… ay naku, so much more. There’s never a dull moment with Ganns talaga.
Jon and Karen. The 1st couple in our barkada to get married. And going strong! Karen was also a very pretty bridesmaid!
Erik and Bok. Erik flew in from Singapore work straight to Rowie’s wedding! I honestly thought he wouldn’t make it because of the traffic but he made it in time and even read the Prayers of the Faithful. And there’s Bok with her trademark smirk, hehe.
Wifely Steps, Superblessed and My Silver Chair. What is this? An EB again? LOL! Maan of My Silver Chair is a good friend of Rowie’s too. I’ve been reading her blog for about a year now. It was my first time to meet her. Ganns (who’s met her before) pulled all 3 of us together for a quick pic. Is the world getting smaller? Maybe. Or maybe there are more people blogging now!
