So what am I doing?

by

I’m catching up on my favorite food. My best friends are coming over to visit me (because I am now virus-free!) and they’re bringing my favorite pizza (Shakey’s Friday’s Special with extra pineapples!). It sucks not being able to taste the delicious adobo my family’s cook prepares. I forced myself to eat anyway just for functional purposes but now, I’ve got my tastebuds back and they’re going dancing with me!

I’m breathing in some fresh air. My Mom took me under her wing the moment my fever struck. H got sick the same time I did too. We were two sick little puppies and my Mom nursed us back to the pink of health. (I love you, Mama!) H is back at work now, but I’m still resting another week since I had it worse. It’s almost the province where I am and though it’s far away from tyhe hustle and bustle of the city, I love it here. I feel like that character in Heidi.

I’m kidding around with 9-year-old cousin. She was the cause of my viral infection, having brought a different kind of pasalubong back from Boracay. A day after I welcomed her back, I got terribly sick. We’re both fine now and I look forward to kulitan with her as she spends some of her summer days here at my parents’ home.

Thank you for all the kind words of comfort. Thank you for all the touching prayers. I’m much healhtier now — still gathering my strength but I’m getting there. It’s good to be back!
