ME. I got the chills two nights ago and skipped work yesterday. Ah, bah, humbug. I hope I get well in time for our Christmas party tomorrow. The good thing about being on sick leave is that I get to watch movies on DVD. Yey.
“The more you know who you are, and what you want, the less you let things upset you.” Beautiful line, isn’t it? That quote from Lost in Translation struck me the most. I think one needs to be in a quiet mood to really appreciate this movie.
How do you talk to an angel?. I also saw Date with An Angel. This is an old movie, circa 1987. I’ve seen this when I was a kid and was awed with Emmanuelle Beart’s beauty. I would think from then on that all angels looked like her. I got bored watching it yesterday. I used the time to sweep the floor while the movie played. Yes, I did some housework even when I was sick. The mess bothered me.
Ooooh how primal Adam is… Finally, before I drifted off into my loooong nap, I watched About Adam. After those two flicks, I needed another one to fill in my hunk quota. My cup overfloweth for Stuart Townsend. Though I’ve seen this before I was still struck by Adam’s foxiness. Roar! Or should that be purr? Or growl? What sound does a fox make?
So I’m back at work today with still some sniffles and teary eyes. I’ve been stuffing myself with liquids so I hope I get better by tomorrow. Our office party’s theme is “Naughty or Nice” — cute ‘no? 
I got to draw “Nice” out of a hat and so I’m going as Nemo. Then my officemate reminded me that Nemo was a naughty fish. Whoops. Oh well too late, I have a costume na.
I’m rambling. Hope you’re all feeling better than I am. What tips can I share today? Hmmm. Here you go: Watch Lost in Translation. Never hit your wife because you’ll be the number one jerkazoid of all times — did anyone catch Amazing Race last night? If you did, you’ll know what I’m talking about. And last tip, drink lots of fluids even if you’re not sick. Toodles!
