Friends

Though I meet up with my friends quite often, our Christmas get-togethers are always very special. Approximately two weeks ago, one circle of friends celebrated Christmas with a Rainbow theme. Yes, that’s us in the picture wearing our assigned rainbow colors. We videoke’d all night long, had our own parlor games and ate a lot. Yes, we also did sing songs with the word “Rainbow” or any of its colors in it, i.e. Somewhere over the rainbow, Rainbow Connection, Blue Kiss, Yellow Submarine, etc. Good fun, good fun.

Tonight I meet up with my college barkada. That’s always a treat to look forward to. Back in college, we called ourselves LHC — that stands for Lonely Hearts Club. Why we christened our group with that name I have forgotten. There were two couples in that group and the rest were single, maybe that’s why. That name stuck anyway as we all sailed through various romances. Some of us are married now, some are single and hopefully, not a single one of us has a lonely heart.

Towards the end of the year, I hope to meet some of the new friends I’ve made online through this:

Will you be there? Batjay says he’s gonna dance on top of a table if more than 150 come. Budget for dinner is P300 per head, and P150 for the exchange gift. Let’s see who makes it!
