Brownie points

I don’t have a sweet tooth, but I have a soft spot for brownies. I like brownies that have a gooey texture, a rich chocolate taste and lots of nuts. Oh yummy. My all-time favorite brownies are those that my sister bakes. Unfortunately, she doesn’t bake them regularly so I can’t snack on them as much as I want to.

I found another favorite in Becky’s brownies. Becky’s Kitchen is located in Manila and they bake the best commercial brownies ever. Unfortunately, their bakery is too far from where I stay, so I only get to taste Becky’s brownies when friends send some sweets over to the office. Baaah. I had to find an alternative that was more easily accessible.

I found one in Goldilocks! Goldilock’s brownies are so delicious. They’re chunky, gooey, nutty so they’re perfect for a brownie nut like me! They’re not that expensive either, not more than 30 pesos I think. Ah see? I forgot the price. I just know that each bite into that brownie is heaven for me.

Why not try it for yourself? Drop by your nearest Goldilock’s store and find out what I’m raving about. I should probably grab some brownies on the way home too. This entry’s making me crave for them. Mmmmmm. Brownies.

I heard that Becky’s is now available at the Clubhouse of Valle Verde 1. Haven’t checked it out myself but the thought really excites me! I love their cherry walnut brownies.

Here in Seattle we have Trader Joe’s where they carry a delicious “No Pudge” brownie mix that is fat-free and uses 2/3 cup of vanilla yogurt. Yum! With my large family I usually only get one!
