Steps 2 and 3 (Focus on Your Breath, Have Compassion for Yourself and Your Partner) work well for me. It’s #1 that I have trouble with! I’m very reactive so when a stressful situation comes up I have the tendency to snap back right away. My bad. I know I have to take a step back, breathe deep and be quiet for awhile. The quiet helps calm me down so my reaction won’t be so abrasive.
